Alaska Airlines adds new nonstop flights from Seattle to Paris and Athens

Travelers flying out of Seattle will soon have two more ways to reach Europe without a layover.

Alaska Airlines announced plans to launch seasonal nonstop flights from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Paris (CDG airport) and Athens (ATH airport) beginning in May 2027.

The Athens route will be the first nonstop flight connecting Seattle with the Greek capital. It will also be the only nonstop route between Athens and the West Coast, according to the airline.

Flights between Seattle and Athens will begin May 12 and operate three times a week through October. The route will become the longest flight in Alaska Airlines’ network.

Nonstop service to Paris (CDG airport) will follow on May 25, with flights operating five times a week through October.

Tickets for both routes are now available through Alaska Airlines.

Here is the planned schedule:

• Seattle to Athens: Begins May 12, 2027, and operates three times a week
• Seattle to Paris: Begins May 25, 2027, and operates five times a week

Both routes are expected to continue through October 2027.

Flights will be operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. The aircraft will include lie-flat business-class suites, in-flight dining and amenities from West Coast brands Filson and Salt & Stone.

Alaska also plans to offer complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi to Atmos Rewards members as it continues installing the service across its fleet.

How much are the flights?

Tickets for both routes are now available through Alaska Airlines.

Prices for non-stop, round-trip flights to Paris begin at $1,817 per person, and non-stop, round-trip flights to Athens begin at $1,699.

Alaska continues adding long-distance flights from Seattle

Athens and Paris will join five other intercontinental destinations served by Alaska Airlines from Seattle: London, Rome, Reykjavík, Seoul and Tokyo.

The additions will bring the airline’s Seattle-based intercontinental network to seven destinations by summer 2027.

“Athens and Paris have been high on that list for years,” Alaska Airlines CEO Ben Minicucci said in the airline’s announcement.

Alaska plans to serve at least 12 long-distance international destinations from Seattle by 2030.

The airline currently offers more than 360 departures on peak travel days and serves 110 nonstop destinations from the Seattle area.
