An Oregon diner that became a regular stop for “Twilight” fans is looking for a new owner.
Carver Cafe in Damascus is listed for $895,000 as owner Kris Stafford prepares to retire, according to The Oregonian/OregonLive. Stafford plans to keep the cafe open until it sells.
The restaurant appeared in the first “Twilight” movie in 2008. Nearly two decades later, fans still visit the diner as part of trips to filming locations across Oregon and Washington.
Here’s what to know about the sale and visiting the cafe.

Why is Carver Cafe for sale?
Stafford took over the cafe with a former business partner in 2005, before the movie brought a new audience to the restaurant.
After 21 years, she is ready to retire, The Oregonian reported. The newspaper described the restaurant as an 878-square-foot space that has been on the market since April 2025.
A recent for-sale sign outside the building has brought renewed attention to the listing. Broker Kathryn Smith told The Oregonian that business increased after the sign went up and that several prospective buyers had expressed serious interest.
Stafford told the newspaper she hopes the next owner will preserve the cafe’s connection to “Twilight.”
What is the cafe’s connection to ‘Twilight’?
Although the story takes place in Forks, Washington, Carver Cafe served as the diner where Bella Swan and her father, Charlie, share meals in the first film. Author Stephenie Meyer also appears in a scene filmed there.
The movie connection remains part of the restaurant.
The cafe displays “Twilight” memorabilia and keeps guestbooks filled with messages and drawings from visitors. Its menu also includes references to the characters, including the Bella Burger and Alice’s cinnamon swirl French toast.
During the Oregonian’s recent weekday visit, the publication said that every table was occupied by 8:40 a.m. Reporters spoke with a visitor from London who had included the cafe in a two-week Pacific Northwest trip to “Twilight” locations.
Fans have also helped the restaurant through difficult periods. In 2020, a fundraiser was held to keep the cafe operating during the pandemic. It brought in more than $18,000, exceeding its $10,000 goal.
Can you still visit Carver Cafe?
Yes. Stafford intends to continue serving customers while the restaurant is for sale, and hopes to sell to a “Twilight” fan, according to The Oregonian.
Carver Cafe is at 16471 SE Highway 224 in Damascus. It is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
The cafe’s website says it serves breakfast all day and does not accept reservations. Visitors can call 503-658-3206 to confirm hours before making the trip.
