PDX Named Best Airport in America by The Washington Post

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland International Airport (PDX) was ranked the No. 1 airport in the United States, according to The Washington Post’s new analysis of traveler data.

The 2025 study reviewed more than 450,000 Yelp reviews and reader feedback to find airports that travelers truly love—and PDX stood out for its calm atmosphere, local design, and easy-to-navigate layout.

From timber-framed ceilings and live trees to stunning views of Mount Hood, PDX captures the spirit of the Pacific Northwest.

The airport is known to feature live musicians, photo ops with its iconic carpet, and even therapy llamas to add a sense of fun and community that keeps both locals and visitors smiling.
