Skagit Valley Tulip Festival Returns With Millions of Blooms

Washington is officially ushering in Spring 2026 with the state’s annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.

Each year, the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival transforms farmland north of Seattle into a patchwork of bright blooms, drawing visitors from across the region to experience one of the largest tulip displays in the country.

The monthlong festival stretches across Skagit County, with four main gardens offering their own take on the season.

Each of the four gardens will have their own gate fees, meaning visitors can build their own experience and plan their own route by stopping at one or all four gardens depending on the day.

RoozenGaarde

One of the most recognizable stops of spring in Washington is beginning to bloom in Skagit Valley. RoozenGaarde, known as the largest garden in the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, is welcoming visitors for the 2026 season as rows of tulips begin to open across its expansive fields.

The Mount Vernon garden spans more than 50 acres and features a mix of large-scale tulip fields and a carefully designed display garden planted with more than a million bulbs each year. Visitors can walk through vibrant rows of color, explore curated garden paths, and take in views of the surrounding valley, with more than 200 varieties of tulips and daffodils featured throughout the season.

Tickets are typically available online and at the gate, with prices ranging from the mid-teens to low $20s depending on the day.

Tulip Town

A stretch of warmer weather is giving Skagit Valley’s tulip season an early start, with Tulip Town opening on March 28 in Mount Vernon.

The longtime farm blends outdoor fields with indoor spaces, creating a visit that goes beyond just walking the rows. Guests can wander through colorful tulips outside, then step into the barn for coffee, local goods, and fresh-cut bouquets, making it an easy stop whether you’re spending a full day in the valley or just passing through.

With options like trolley rides through the fields and seasonal events throughout the spring, Tulip Town offers a flexible way to experience the festival.

The Mount Vernon farm offers a more hands-on experience, with wide-open rows designed for walking and exploring. Guests can move freely through the fields and pick their own tulip bouquets, while the relaxed, family-friendly setting makes it an easy stop during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.

Special events like “Night Bloom” bring visitors into the fields after dark with illuminated displays, adding a different way to experience the season. Tickets are available online, with options for general admission and add-on experiences.

Garden Rosalyn

A quieter side of tulip season is returning to Skagit Valley as Garden Rosalyn opens for the 2026 festival. The Mount Vernon garden offers a more relaxed setting, with thoughtfully designed flower beds and winding paths that invite visitors to slow down and take in the blooms.

Set across several acres, Garden Rosalyn focuses on detail over scale. Visitors can explore curated tulip displays, a central pond often filled with ducks and geese, and peaceful corners that feel tucked away from the busier festival crowds.

The garden is open daily throughout the season, typically from morning to early evening, with tickets starting around $17 and available online.
